Cyanide Pills – Postponed

“Due to the unforeseen unavailability of certain band members THE CYANIDE PILLS have had to cancel a number of shows previously confirmed for 2019. Sadly the show at THE GREEN ROOM STOCKTON on March 1st is one to be cancelled. The show will be rescheduled in due course and tickets purchased remain valid for the new date or refunds can be obtained from the point of purchase.”

The Fallen Leaves

We had a great evening on Sat 29th September with The Fallen Leaves supported by Sound Reaction. As ever the band were fantastic and the atmosphere from a near sell out crowd totally enhanced the evening. A classic mix of Fallen Leaves along with a couple of new ones being introduced into the set, one of which, Begin Again, already is a firm favourite. The video below was shot by Ian Alexander at the sound check and it wasn’t really that dark, just the way the clip has come out!

The band are firm favourites on Teesside and with The Westgarth in particular and the next visit has already been confirmed for Saturday 9th February 2019. This will be a special double header show featuring a band as support who have previously played their own head line shows for me at The Westgarth. A Very warm welcome back to The Space Agency.

Saturday 29th September

The Fallen Leaves return for what will be their 6th head line show (plus 2 support slots) when the play at The Westgarth Social Club – there’s a reason they keep getting asked back and quite simply it’s because they’re one of the best live acts around.

Early Who meets The Ramones? Nearly.

Punk Rock For Gentlemen? Definitely.

Simple songs for complex people? You decide.

Support comes from Sound Reaction and it looks like being a busy night so get down early. Tickets will be available on the night for the upcoming shows from The Filthy Tongues, The Monochrome Set, Theatre of Hate and Rose McDowall. Tickets will also be available for the first confirmed show of 2019 which will be announced at The Fallen Leaves gig. With a bit of luck they may even be available for the second show of 2019 but just waiting on final confirmation of that one.

The Fallen Leaves return!

What do they sound like?

Punk/Mod/Garage/Beat. Imagine a cross between The Who and The Ramones and you’re somewhere near.

They play simple songs for complex people. But remember, simple and easy are not the same thing.

The band have released four albums on CD. 10 tracks on each, as the saying goes, all killer, no filler. Listen to them on Spotify.

The vinyl “Greatest Hits” collection¬†Punk Rock For Gentlemen is now nearly sold out but it will be released on CD soon. You can watch some videos on You Tube as well.

The Fallen Leaves will play at The Westgarth Social Club on Saturday 29th September.

Song, Sound and Performance are all. It will be great. It always is!

You can buy tickets on line here, behind the bar in the venue or pay on the door although it will cost a couple of quid more!
